Kwara ANRP Press Release

KWARA ANRP PRESS RELEASE

Our attention has been drawn to the interview granted by the State Chairman Ade Alabi and subsequent response by our former gubernatorial candidate Dr. Abdulmumin Yinka Ajia on @insidenaija online newspaper. Base on the claims and counter claims, kwara state ANRP executive wishes to unequivocally state the following facts;

1. That the State Chairman in person of Ade Alabi and former gubernatorial candidate Dr Adulmumin Yinka Ajia had very in dept and sound relationship from the beginning until now. It is important to note that, aspect of the duo's deliberations that concern the party are always cascaded down. We are in the picture When the relationship between the two of them went sour, which the state executive prevail to no logical ends.

2. That there is no law preventing or that says the party cannot hold its primary elections on the last day of the INEC's deadline. The said  primaries was conducted   under the watchful and supervisory eyes of INEC as their officials were present at the venue from the beginning to the end of the primary elections.

3. On a second look at the allegations of fake lists shows that, Dr. Ajia is indicting INEC to have received fake list from the party which requires more formal investigation from the electoral body by inviting Dr. Ajia to make clarifications. On the other hand we hereby give notice to Dr Abdulmumin Yinka Ajia to produce the said fake list.

4. That on the issue of abandoning his mandate six days to election, it is surprising to know that he said in his interview that "Sometime in February, I had a meeting with the ANRP excos and they said they were not going to support the leading opposition candidate, that they just wanted to go to the election. Since that was the majority view of the excos, I registered my minority view and said I didn’t agree with that position. At that time I didn’t have any intention
of leaving the ANRP. I just wanted them to understand that we needed to line behind Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to get the election over. But when they said they don’t care how it goes, whether the winner is PDP or APC, that they just wanted to go to the election, I said it was pointless going forward because we clearly didn’t have a path to victory."

5. We categorically state concerning Dr. Ajia's quoted statement above that it is false, The ANRP excos only wanted to be distinguished from other parties throwing their weight behind either APC or PDP for different reasons which could be used against us in the future. After the said meeting, the erstwhile candidate agreed to continue with his mandate and therefore our campaign train moved with him to Ilorin South for campaign activities, only for him to surprisingly cross carpet few days later. Let us quickly add that the same Governor Abdualrahman Abdulrasaq he is trying to patronize now, has been rubbished in all of his debate, claiming that he Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has no ideology to move Kwara forward but fly empty manifesto that is of no benefit to kwarans.

6. That it is pertinent to note that ANRP's ideologies and manifesto are pro good-governance, as such the party is ready to align and accommodate anybody or organization that share the same visions.

7. That the ANRP executive have a cordial and professional relationship contrary to any claim by anyone and are working in unison to make ANRP a party to reckon with both in the state and National.

8. That on a final note, let it be known that ANRP is a party that plays ethical politics geared towards promoting accountability, probity, aimed at enhancing the welfare and lots of Kwarans and Nigerians at large. We also wish Governor AA all the best in his quest, as we call on both parties to sheath their swords in the interest of peace.

What is 5G? And why should you care?

5G is coming to a cell tower near you faster than you might think: with speeds that could eventually hit hundreds of times those of 4G, it promises to transform the way we communicate with each other and with our devices once again.
If you're wondering what exactly 5G is, when you can get it or what the benefits will be, wonder no longer - we've compiled everything we know so far about the technology so you can impress your friends with your 5G-related knowledge.

What is it?
We can't give you any exact statistics about 5G yet, because the standard has yet to be defined: researchers and authorities are hoping to have a 5G specification in place in the next couple of years. Radio communications experts from the 193 member countries of the United Nations will be setting down the technical requirements in 2016.
5G is, rather obviously, the successor to 4G: if you thought the 4G speeds you can get in certain parts of the country were fast, just wait until you get 5G on your phone. As we've said, there's no exact specification yet, but broadly speaking 5G has the potential to be hundreds of times faster than current speeds.
Not only will the speeds be greater, so will the bandwidth (the amount of devices and data that can be handled at once): that means the benefits will go way beyond smartphones to cover everything in the Internet of Things. Your car, for example, will eventually be able to offer high-speed Wi-Fi wherever you are.
5G is technically known as IMT-2020 (3G is IMT-2000 and 4G is IMT-Advanced) - that stands for International Mobile Telecommunications (in the year) 2020. Between now and then, there's a lot to sort out.

How does it work?
5G is another upgrade to the cellular data networks we're now so familiar with: smartphones (or other devices) communicate with cell towers via radio waves that float invisibly through the air. As far as data goes, information is digitised into 1s and 0s before being compressed and transmitted over different frequency bands.
Improving the speed and strength of these connections is a case of improving efficiency and bandwidth through multiple technological innovations. Some of the draft requirements set down for 5G include 1-100Gbps connection speeds, sub-1 millisecond latency, 1,000 times more bandwidth, 10-100 times more connected devices, 99.99 percent availability, 100 percent coverage, 90 percent reduction in network energy usage and support for up to 10 years of battery life for lower-power machines (like a home sensor).
That's quite a tall order but if the technical challenges of 5G can be met then the impact could be huge. Not only are governments trying to release more frequencies for public network use, they're also trying to enhance the technology: 4G improved on 3G, for example, by using new techniques to squeeze more data into the same space.

When can I get it?
As the IMT-2020 name suggests, by 2020 hopefully. As 4G has shown, however, getting large parts of the country covered takes some time, so it may be a while later that 5G signals start appearing in your neck of the woods. Major cities will once again be the first in line for the technology.
Organisations and manufacturers are hoping to be able to put the next-gen network through its paces during the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. As with earlier upgrades, the first 5G networks will be on a very small scale and will be used to test the technology in real-world conditions - if the athletes and visitors to the Games can get connected, then the roll-out can continue.
One potential roadblock is getting standards in place that all the hardware makers and individual nations can agree on - 3G and 4G are something of a mishmash of different standards and approaches right now, and if the same were to happen with 5G then that's likely to push the launch date back a little bit.
When it does arrive, it should herald the start of the true superfast smartphone age - any kind of download or streaming task will start instantly and buffering will be a bad memory... as long as you're in a 5G-enabled area, of course.

Where will it be available?
Higher frequencies (and faster speeds) mean shorter distances - that in turn means antenna technology is going to have to be upgraded, and we're probably going to need more antennas too. We might see transmitters built into base stations and street furniture (like lampposts and road signs).
As exciting as 5G is, the mobile operators in charge of rolling it out are still governed by economics: the more users and the more demand in a particular area, the more likely it is that 5G speeds are going to arrive swiftly. Some of the innovations required by 5G we mentioned earlier won't be cheap to implement and again that could again mean certain areas have to wait a while to get upgraded.
Ultimately however, one of the main aims of 5G is to provide blanket coverage that stays with you and doesn't drop out as you move - in theory, that should mean very few dead spots, no matter where in the world you are. Satellite technology may be incorporated to help increase coverage.
As we've said, these standards are still being debated - it's possible that if certain aspects of 5G (such as the targets for coverage or latency) prove too tricky to implement, they'll be dropped from the standard. The specification that does come into play in 2020 or thereabouts should be fairly robust, and we're hopeful that the roll-out will be speedy and extensive.

Today has a purpose; PAY ATTENTION

Today has a purpose. Pay attention to that purpose, and you’ll uncover this day’s many treasures.

There is a reason why you have arrived at this point. On this day there is much to be learned, to be accomplished, to be experienced and to be lived.

When your thoughts, your actions and your efforts consistently follow a clear and positive purpose, achievement is inevitable. Look deeply at the things you treasure most, and you will see that purpose.

Purpose brings together all the seemingly unconnected parts of life. Purpose creates positive value out of the triumphs and the setbacks alike.

With a clear sense of purpose, your vast and magnificent resources are put to use in the service of an even greater good. With a clear sense of purpose, even the tragedies and disappointments cannot stop you.

There is always some part of you that knows what your purpose is right now. The more of your life you connect to that purpose, the more magnificent life will be.

May this day bring about peace and unity around the world

THE BOILING FROG SYNDROME

Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature...
Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore...
At that point the frog decides to jump out...
The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature...
Very soon the frog dies.

What killed the frog?
Many of us would say the boiling water...
But the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out.
We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to confront/face.
There are times when we need to face the situation and take the appropriate action...
If we allow people to exploit us physically, mentally, emotionally or financially, they will continue to do so...
We have to decide when to jump.
Let us jump while we still have the strength.
